At Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates, we take pride in our communities. It’s part of our philosophy of putting people first. We strive to help where help is needed and to give back and honor this remarkable region that we call home.
Over the past ten years, Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates has contributed thousands of volunteer hours and over $1.5 million to support charitable organizations in our area. It’s both a collective and individual effort. From roadside clean-ups to tutoring programs, at-need housing developments to disaster relief—each year our team gives tirelessly back to our communities, both as a company and individually.
Inspired by our agents’ dedication, this year Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates launched the Community Grants Program. The only philanthropic matching program offered by a real estate brokerage in the area, JHREA’s Community Grants Program provides funding to support the organizations and causes with which our team is involved.
We are pleased to announce the recipients of this quarter’s grants, the first time the program was formally offered:
Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area
Teton Literacy Center
GAP! (Girls Actively Participating)
Founded in 1995, Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area builds “home, community and hope” to provide at-need residents with housing. The local Habitat for Humanity chapter operates on a sustainable, which includes a “Restore” that resells perfectly useable home goods and funds a majority of the program’s overhead.
For nearly 30 years, Teton Literacy Center has been changing lives through the power of education. The organization’s volunteer network provides personalized learning instruction, one-on-one tutoring and after-school programs to support students, teachers and families. Last year TLC touched the lives of over 375 families through more than 30,000 volunteer hours spent with local students and parents.
Girls Actively Participating (GAP!) promotes the success of young women through education, community-building and self-discovery. Founded by local middle school teachers Amy Manhart and Julie D’Amours in 1997 to challenge gender roles and encourage girls to explore new fields, the program has steadily grown to touch the lives of thousands of young women since its inception.
Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates is proud to support these outstanding organizations and countless others that are making a difference in our communities. It’s one small way to say thank you to those we are fortunate to serve.
Teton County is the most philanthropic county in the country, and it shows. It is an honor to support the organizations and causes that make Jackson Hole and surrounding regions so extraordinary, and we look forward to continuing to give back to the place we call home.
