More than 100 agents from 30 luxury brokerages representing eight countries gathered in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, January 21 through 24, for a networking event for Christie’s International Real Estate Affiliates hosted by Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates. These industry leaders met in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to share best practices and successful marketing strategies during four-day seminar at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Hotel Terra.

The private summit included a formal program of presentations and seminars by expert keynote speakers while still allowing ample time for participants to share best practices and build referral relationships on the ski slopes and outside the meeting room in a casual setting.

“Bringing together our agents from around the world to share insights and discuss firsthand business opportunities only serves to strengthen our position as the global leader in luxury real estate,” said Dan Conn, Chief Executive Officer of Christie’s International Real Estate.

Participants heard Jimmy Chin - National Geographic photographer, award-winning filmmaker and 15-year veteran of the North Face team – talk about overcoming adversity in high-altitude adventures. Katie Lance, CEO of the social media strategy and content development firm that bears her name and recognized by Inman News as one of the top “100 Most Important People in Real Estate,” shared industry trends for 2016. Jerry Blann, CEO of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, also spoke and honored the ski area’s 50th anniversary.

“The program was sensational and advanced all of our professional insights,” said Rick Moeser, Regional Senior Vice President of Christie’s International Real Estate. “What was equally valuable was the time shared outside the meetings in this magnificent ski destination and the geographical diversity of the attendees.” Represented were 11 U.S. states and seven countries, including Argentina and the U.K.

At the same time the Christie’s brokers tested their mettle on Jackson Hole’s world-renowned ski runs, in London Christie’s auction house held its annual Ski Sale – the only art event dedicated to vintage ski posters. The 2016 rendition featured a superb selection of colorful and decorative posters from Europe’s iconic ski resorts, as well as a striking group from the United States, Canada and New Zealand.

“As the reigning Christie’s International Real Estate Global Affiliate of the Year, we were honored to host the top brokers from our $113 billion dollar network,” said Julie Faupel, Partner of Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates.  “All participants benefited from the new business relationships formed this week, as did the Jackson Hole community by welcoming this global gathering on Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s 50 year milestone.”
