A Mountain Contemporary in Wyoming’s 1,000-Acre Snake River Sporting Club
The 6,407-square-foot home is being sold fully furnished
This mountain contemporary is set within the 1,000-acre Snake River Sporting Club and abuts the 3.4-million-acre Bridger-Teton National Forest, the third-largest national forest outside of Alaska.
The house, which is being sold fully furnished, was custom built in 2016 for the current owners, listing agent Julie Faupel said.
The house was designed and constructed by the finest craftsmen in the region, she said. “Carney Logan Burke were the architects, and it was built by Teton Heritage Builders,” with interior design by WRJ Interiors.
“It is an incredible synergy of craftsmanship and vision and beauty,” Ms. Faupel said. “It’s a very inviting space, with top-of-the-line finishes.”
The exterior of the home on South Wagon Road is clad in barn wood, limestone and copper. It is designed to blend into the surrounding forest and wildflower meadows.
Other architectural and design details include eight-inch-wide French oak hardwood floors, waterfall quartz countertops, walnut motorized cabinetry, custom leaded crystal light fixtures, and furnishings by WRJ Interiors.
There are two patios; the one off the living room area has a large fire pit.
The house occupies two lots, Ms. Faupel said. “The owners bought the other lot for privacy.”
“It’s incredibly private because you back up against the forest,” she added.
“The views look up Martin Creek,” she said, and you also have good views of the forest and the Snake River.
The 6,407-square-foot house has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two partial bathrooms. It sits on a 2.19-acre lot.
Club amenities include five scenic miles of private access to the Snake River, golf, horseback riding, archery, clay shooting, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding on the club’s waterways, and a new network of hiking trails.
“You have this beautiful feeling of privacy, but you can walk to the clubhouse for dinner or the pool,” Ms. Faupel said.
The Snake River Sporting Club “is really kind of a leader in its field,” she said. “It’s more of a lifestyle club than a golf club.”
The club has been open for about a decade, Ms. Faupel said, and “is just now coming into its own.”
It’s a 20-minute drive to downtown Jackson Hole, she said.
